How Make Money on Amazon

Sell on Amazon and reach hundredsof millions of Amazon customers!

Individuals and businesses can list products on Amazon, one of the fastest ways to start selling online.
  • Pay no per-item listing fees
  • List products in more than 20 categories
  • Trusted Amazon shopping experience

Steps to Start Selling

1. Decide what you want to sell

More than 20 product categories are open to all sellers, and at least 10 more are available only to Professional Sellers.

2. Choose a selling plan

Sell just a few items and pay no monthly fee with the Individual plan or choose the Professional subscription for unlimited selling. The Professional selling plan is ideal if you plan to sell more than 40 items per month.

3. Register and set up your account

To start selling, choose the account that fits your goals, and then register online. You’ll be able to set up shipping options, notification preferences, and other account details during registration.
  1. Sell as a Professional
  2. Sell as an Individual

"When customers found out they
could get free shipping, the
lunchboxes began selling like crazy"
Kelly Lester, CEO, EasyLunchboxes

How Selling on Amazon Works

1. List your products

If a product is already available on Amazon, just add the quantity, condition, and price for your offer. Professional Sellers can add large batches of items using bulk listing tools.

2. Customers can see your products on Amazon

With features like 1-Click and a brand millions trust, Amazon helps customers make quick, easy, worry-free purchases.

3. Ship products to customers

Amazon notifies you when customers place an order. Use Fulfillment by Amazon and let Amazon do the shipping—or handle shipping yourself.

4. Get paid

Amazon deposits payment into your bank account at regular intervals, and then notifies you that your payment has been sent.

Inside Google London

We're the company's second-largest engineering office in Europe and home to global sales and marketing teams. In other words, we're a diverse lot.

Our engineering Googlers have worked on products from Android to AdSense to Offers. In sales, we serve advertisers big and small across the U.K.

We have three offices in central London. One office has a double-decker bus on the third floor. Another, with a Brighton theme, has colorful beach-hut and bumper-car meeting rooms and a mural of Brighton Pier. And our engineering Googlers voted on their workplace décor, so their office looks like something straight out of a sci-fi film (more Star Trek: The Next Generation than Star Trek).

When we’re not working, you’ll find us enjoying sushi or tapas in one of our cafeterias, playing music in our recording studio, or taking a boxing, spinning or yoga class.

Google London: Frequently Asked Questions

1. What kinds of engineering work does Google London do?

We’ve worked on everything from advertising to privacy and security. We currently work on a variety of products like Android, AdSense, Google Play and Offers.

2. And what kind of sales work?

We support advertisers in retail, media & entertainment, finance, travel, automotive, business & industrial, technology, consumer products and healthcare.

3. How is London different from other Google locations?

Most offices outside Mountain View focus on engineering or sales; we do both, and have a slew of Googlers working on our operations, as well. Like Googlers elsewhere, we get to have all kinds of fun and partake in amazing cultural events (like when Richard Dawkins and Andy Sewell came to visit), all while doing great work that can change the way the world communicates and does business. But unlike them, we get to be in London.

4. Is there anything especially cool about Google London’s offices?

We have antique red telephone boxes, so our Googlers get to make private calls someplace that’s just a bit out of the ordinary. We have Underground-style maps showing where meeting rooms are located. We have lightshades that look like bowler hats, and lounge areas kitted out to look like famous London parks, with benches, flowerbeds and rowboats. We have a Brighton-themed office, with video conference rooms shaped like dice (a nod to Brighton’s casinos). Our engineers voted to have their office designed to look like a sci-fi spaceship interior, and we just built a cinema in one of our offices. And we’re in great locations: while working out in the gym in London’s West End, you’ll have views of the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. You just can’t beat that.

5. Has anyone interesting come to visit the Google London office?

Like most Google offices, we bring in speakers, authors, comedians and performers to cultivate a culture of learning and growing. So we’ve had our fair share of celebrity visitors. Like the Scissor Sisters (they performed for us). And Jamie Oliver. Oh, yeah, and Queen Elizabeth. (Top that, Mountain View.)

6. How about the East London location? What’s going on there?

We want to support the local tech community. So we are leasing a building in the heart of Tech City. There, we’re providing space for developers and start-ups to build their businesses. The idea is to create a launch pad for London’s entrepreneurs.

7. How else are you involved with the community?

Our Googlers volunteer to do everything from paint flats and plant gardens to clean school playgrounds and visit the elderly. We turn our Friday town halls – a.k.a. TGIFs – into fundraising events for causes like a local provider of guide dogs for the blind, and held a comedy fundraiser to benefit victims of the 2011 natural disasters in Japan and New Zealand. We’ve run hackathons aimed at helping children and the elderly use technology. And many of our Googlers are mentors with the Cherie Blair Foundation, which helps female entrepreneurs in emerging economies. Our engineers even teamed up to build the Foundation a new technology platform.

Google New York

At the Google New York office, we work in a beautiful old building (it's enormous, a full city block) in one of the hottest neighborhoods in town. Google jobs in New York City offer a range of work, including roles in engineering, sales careers, marketing positions and more. We’re everything that’s great about Google, plus the 24/7 buzz of the Big Apple.

Watch video :

Working at Google New York

We’ve grown a lot since we shot this video in 2007, but even then, Google New York was the biggest engineering office outside of Mountain View and the largest Google sales office in the world. Hear firsthand from a bunch of our NYC Googlers on what they love about working in the Big Apple.

Google New York: Frequently Asked Questions

1. What makes Google New York unique?

We’re the company’s second-largest location after Mountain View, with a variety of career opportunities on par with headquarters, especially for engineers (we have close to 2,000) and sales Googlers (we have close to 2,000 here, too). On the engineering side, we’ve shipped key parts of everything from Google Docs to Local Search, Display Ads to Maps. We also developed Crisis Response Maps and work on core infrastructure. On the sales side, our clients include media companies and ad agencies. We’re also home to the Creative Lab, Google’s in-house advertising and creative agency, staffed by some of Madison Avenue’s finest.

2. How about your new building? What makes it special?

First of all, it’s huge - 2.9-million-square-feet huge. It has elevators big enough to fit 18-wheelers. Because it takes up an entire city block, walking around it takes 9 minutes.

3. Wow. What kinds of people come by to check out the space?

A few years before we arrived, FDR visited the building. Since we’ve moved in, so have a lot of other famous people, like Al Gore, Steve Wozniak, Tom Brokaw, Anderson Cooper, Andy Summers, Joshua Bell and Common. We’re across the street from Chelsea Market (in fact, some of our Googlers work there as well), and a short stroll from some of the world’s most important art galleries.

4. How do you give back to the community?

We give financial support to the High Line, a Robert Moses-era elevated freight railroad renovated as a greenbelt and public park. We volunteer with and give to local low-income schools and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs. We offer quarterly training sessions to help local nonprofits and small businesses use the Internet more effectively. And that’s just the start of it.

5. Are there any New York Googlers I may have heard of?

Peter Weinberger and Brian Kernighan are the W and K in AWK, a scripting language. Bob Wyman founded PubSub and was a tech industry pioneer at DEC and Microsoft. Alfred Spector is head of research for all of Google; previously, he was head of research at IBM, a founder of TransArc Corporation and an academic at Carnegie-Mellon University, and the developer of work that changed the face of distributed computing. Spencer Kimball helped develop the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP). Stuart Feldman authored Make – now he’s here, too. On the non-technical side, Andy Berndt heads up our Creative Lab out of this office – he and his team are responsible for many of our ad campaigns that you may have seen on TV or across the web. There are more, but we’ll be polite and stop there.

6. Is working at Google New York different from working at other Google locations?

Googlers around the world are friendly, smart and passionate, and that’s no different here. We enjoy all the perks people associate with Google – from free food and massages to Thank-Goodness-It’s-Almost-Friday parties and quirky design elements. We’ve got Googley nailed. But yes, there are differences to being a Googler in New York – most of them a function of our Manhattan location. This is a capital of finance and fashion, publishing and the performing arts. It rubs off on us in subtle ways, from how we communicate to the pace at which we work. It’s hard to put into words, but we always know we’re in New York.
